• Purple Rain – Through November 23^rd at the State Theatre
  • The stage adaptation of Prince’s legendary film and album, Purple Rain™ is based on the original screenplay by Albert Mangoli and William Blinn. This pre-Broadway engagement is directed by Tony Award® nominee Lileana Blain-Cruz. It features a book by Tony Award winner and Pulitzer Prize winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and music and lyrics by Prince, with music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Tony Award winner Jason Michael Webb and choreography by Emmy Award-winner Ebony Williams.
• A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie Theater – Opening this weekend through December 28^th
  • For over five decades, the Guthrie has brough the tale of A Christmas Carol to audiences of all ages. Each Christmas, the miserly and miserable Ebenezer Scrooge greets the holiday with “Bah! Humbug!” and can’t be bothered to celebrate. One Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by three spirits who show him happy memories from his past, difficult realities from the present and a grim future should he continue his closed-hearted ways.
